which of these buses sound good to you?

Of these three buses what sounds best to you or do should I keep looking elsewhere? I am planning on living in this bus full-time for two years traveling through mountains and possibly pull a small car. After that it will be parked on our land and use periodically throughout the summer.

1999 Conventional Freightliner 72 passenger (37 feet) with CAT 3126 (210HP) and AT 545 transmission. Rust free 211,000 miles. Purchase at auction through Colorado Grey Line Tours

1991 Conventional Ward 66 passenger (35 feet) with DT466 (210 HP) and MT 643 transmission. Some minor body dents and scratches. Electromagnetic Retarder. New tires 300,000 miles. Purchased at auction through Colorado Springs Academy district 20

1996 Conventional Ward 66 passenger (35 feet) with DT466 (250 HP) and MT 643 transmission. Painted White. Electromagnetic Retarder. 220,000 miles. Purchased at auction through Vail School District

I remember some NICE buses at auction in Vail last year or so... That 96 is what I'd be after just based on the limited info. Its a top of the line mountain bus.

The third one, the 1996. I'd be all over that one.

This is of course assuming they are all priced alike, The first one has an undesirable tranny for mountain running,
The second one has more miles than the other 2.
The third one has a desirable drivetrain and is already painted, I'd take this one also if these were my only choices.

Ours is a 35' 1996 DT466 (250hp) MT 643 with Electromagnetic Retarder. Similar mileage too. Also purchased from a School District in Vail (Eagle Co, I believe). It was very well maintained and came with full service records and all manuals. Couldn't be happier with it. The retarder is definitely a huge plus. Came with auto chains too, but we'll probably delete those. It handled the mountains well and was able to pull our SUV without problems. On paper, the 3rd one sounds good.....esp. as it's already painted.

if you change your mind let me know, maybe I'll snag it if you don't. That's pretty much my ultimate bus.
