I used a 12x12 fresnel lense to burn stuff.. not huge like the one ECCB shows but stil lwas a blast

Then I drove it in Phoenix in August and decided that being able to see is highly overrated....

I have been considering picking up a transit bus for a conversion if I see one for a decent price. The big tall roofs are very appealing! I just worry about the speeds being limited due to mainly city driving.

A few years ago the RTS transits were all the rage for conversion. R&M Fiberglass in OR made panels to cover the windows and replacement caps.

They were all over the place for $3000-$6000. I saw several that had the final drive ratio changed for highway operation.

It has struck me as strange that I don't see them around anymore.

Looks-wise, I'd LOVE a SHORTIE RTS for a conversion project.
Finding one that hasn't driven to the moon and back. . . .yeah. . . .Bit of a problem there.

pretty cool really, I make a cover for the windshield that goes over the outside, like I have for my bus, much more effective than trying to block the sun from the inside.
