WTB Electric Stop sign arm
When I bought my bus the stop sign arm had already been removed, but the wires are still there. Before I cover the holes I thought I would see if I could get an electric stop sign arm from someone who has removed theirs.
I've seen a few on ebay but people want what I think is a huge amount since I doubt the school districts shop there, so not a really big market for them other than that. That and I am just playing for fun, so not exactly worth it to me to drop down some serious money on something silly.
If I get one, thought I might do a custom sign or maybe use the stop sign while in the campgrounds in Sturgis, but I would need to make it removable if I do that.
Anyway I figure those things are heavy so shipping will already be some $$, so I am looking for one on the cheap if you are thinking about sending it in for scrap metal drop me a PM and let me know what you want for it and what it weights so I can calculate shipping to Colorado.

You might check local ordinances and such prior to putting the STOP sign back on your bus. As I understand it, many local ordinances forbid such a sign on a private vehicle. If it were a custom sign, you might be able to get away with it. IDK.

Yup, I have no desire to have a real stop sign on the bus while rolling down the road, you are probably fine most of the time, but I prefer not being the nail that sticks up if I can avoid it.

Based on a couple of wires I saw poking out of a hole, I just assumed it was electric originally, but I suppose I should poke around and see if there is an auxiliary air tank and line that was actually running the arm and i just don't see it in the hole.
While they did a nice job for the most part in decommissioning the bus as they didn't just black paint over the decals and took time to use a heat gun to pull most of the decals, the electrical is another story and there are a bunch of snipped wires and a rats nest of wires in the area of the fuse box. So its possible they did something more drastic for an air line if it existed. Looks like they pulled all the relays for the 8 ways, I put some relays back in so I could see if I could figure out the wiring for the stop arm but they must have cut something else as well since none of the lights came on even with the relays.
Thanks for the kind offer though.

Is that sort of an embodiment of "killing someone with kindness"?

Thank you for the kind offer, if you don't want it, I'd certainly have some fun trying to make it work as something fun. I am in no hurry as I am just starting on my bus. I can PM you my fedex number and you can ground ship it on my account, or let me know what USPS wants to send it and I can send you some money, whichever is easiest for you.
Welcome back by the way.

My electric sign is disabled (I cut the wires and removed the lighting) and we painted a cupcake on our sign. Everyone loves cupcakes!
