WTB: headers and a shifter

I'm looking for a set of hugger style small block Chevy headers and a 4 speed floor shifter compatible with a 700R4 for my Toyota project if anyone has either laying around.

Thanks,
Andrew

Re: WTB: headers and a shifter

I know you're probably looking for something used, but Summit has what they call truck shorties that have a oem donut-style connector that works real well and they are short and pretty close fitting for only about $125. Used them on another project, they are pretty good for a universal smallblock header.

Re: WTB: headers and a shifter

You're right, I am cheap and looking for something used. The headers aren't as much of an issue as the shifter. Headers can be had for a fair price, but shifters are stupidly expensive and are not something I can fab up myself necessarily.....unless you have some ideas.

You could check the junkyards for a 82-92 Camaro/Firebird shifter. Or go to http://www.thirdgen.org and look around, somebody probably has a stock shifter they've replaced with an aftermarket unit.
