Forget where it was, it was posted on Skoolie Nation fb group. Somehwere in eastern Washington state iirc. Naturally the post had very little replies but someone else selling a sloppily-converted T444E/AT545 conventional for $6500 had 50+ replies
If the non profit I bought my bus from had more I would've shared them on here but they only had one other bus (a ratty-looking 1st gen Bluebird Vision that wasn't for sale atm).

Hmm. I'm in that group. I saw the one guy with a bus that was very close to our specs in Oregon. He says he's about to store it for the winter if no one wants it right now. Great price as well.
Flying to the west coast and driving all the way back to GA with a vehicle I've never driven before sounds stressful ha

Especially crossing the Rocky Mountains in winter! My bus was in Pueblo CO which is on the front range so it would've been an easy trip even in winter since it's just flat land crusing across Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa to get back to my home state.

For people who don't know, wesellschoolbuses is one of multiple web sites for BGA bus sales. They're usually the ones we pick on when talking about how overpriced dealers can be. They price their buses high because people buy them at those prices...
These are all the same people:
https://isellschoolbuses.com/
https://www.wesellschoolbuses.com/
https://www.floridachurchbus.com/
Maybe more.
For example, here's a rusty Ohio TC2000 with a AT545 and 190hp 5.9 and no features they want $7000 cash for: https://wesellschoolbuses.com/2242/5.html
This is what we call a $2000 tops bus and lots of people just wouldn't want it at all due to rust or drivetrain.

Gotta be real careful shopping buses in NC. They're usually well used and geared to top out around 45-50.

The whole point of used buses is that they're CHEAP. If you have to put one on layaway you've missed the point, IMO. If I can afford buses anyone can!

I just bought one from better priced used cars in Delaware. Had a bunch of 2008 Thomas C2's and several Bluebird pushers. $3500 for the Thomas, $5k for the Bluebird all prices out the door. Clean buses, no rust. Drove mine 200mi home no issues.

Call Jay, they have a much larger inventory than whats on the site.

1993 blue bird "handy bus" forty foot bus, that was never a school bus
Hello!
My name is Jeff.
I have a really nice 1993 Blue Bird TC2000 Forty Foot "Handy Bus" that WAS NEVER A SCHOOL BUS.
It was owned by a Non-Profit Orginazation in Tennessee since they purchased it in 1997 when it had 42,000 Actual Miles.
It just turned over to 125,000 Actual Miles & it would be an Excellent candidate for a conversion.
Please send me a PM if you're interested.
I've been restoring all types of vehicles for over 45 years, mainly survivors & have owned over a dozen motor coaches & buses.
Thank You For Your Time.

Hey Jeff,
Sounds like a great bus. You may get more response if you start your own for sale and in the classified section.
Good luck.

Hello!
When I take some current photos I will post it for sale.
But, I just started hand detailing it today & was going to wax it too.
(And, being off the grid, having to go 12 miles roundtrip to get water in jugs, makes it hard in an old man, lol.)
Then, People on here can tell me how over priced it is, how I have the wrong tranny, they can get one just like it for $25.00...
It's NOT a worn out, beater on the way to the scrap yard & will Not be cheap.
Cheap means crap, I don't do cheap.
The first bus I listed on here is now being lived on full time by a family in Atlanta, as they escaped the Rat Race.
Not once was my price even questioned by the buyer either, but don't get me started on that topic.
I do not do this, or anything for the money.
When someone immediately makes it about the money, I'm finished with that deal...
"Cousin Robbie Has One Just Like It For $1,500.00."
"Uncle Bob Got One Exactly Like It, For A Bicycle With A Bent Rim & A One Horned Goat"...
Hi, Hi, Hi.
Y'all have a good one.

From the pics can I assume the inside is unconverted? Those 4 pics don't get us any closer to knowing anything about the bus.

Hey!
Those four pics were to show that it wasn't a school bus & that it does exsist, lol.
The subflooring has been removed & it is ready to start the conversion now.
I'm having serious issues with my Heart & cannot finish detailing it for another few days.
I'm going to sell it as I've acquired some property & need the cash to be able to move there before I croak.
I need to start my own thread instead of highjacking this one.
I'm not putting it on here to get ANY advice, to have people tell me how to do this, etc.
I'm trying to rehome it.
I can tell you this, you WILL NOT find a nicer Bird this age anywhere.
This is one of those "comes along only once" kind of vehicles.
It's not perfect, but I'd put it up against any bus on here, lol.
If you're serious PM me.
Thanks All.
