It literally fits the door like a glove.
If I "wing it" there will be a huge open channel around the perimeter of the door.

ive never seen one where the seal completely encased the door like that.. you cant leave the existing seal and then add a seal to the inside portion of the jam where the door stops against? or you have to take that seal off to fix the rust?

Part of the reason I want a new seal is its sagging and has overspray from the factory paint job. Looks like crap and I'm trying to do a REAL nice paint job in this thing. The little things like this seal are what make it really POP and look like a pro job vs an amateur attempt.
This seal doesn't leak as far as I can tell, but that rot in the lower part of the door likely means otherwise.

All that brought up was an incomplete site under construction. Looks like a fake or a startup .
All the places I've called advertise "inquire for all your AmTran needs" and they literally have one or two parts in their entire inventory.
Finding AmTran parts at all is very hard in my experience.
BB and Thomas are everywhere.

Yeah its been brought up already.
They literally have the least amount of AmTran parts of anyone I've checked with.
IDK why they even advertise "AmTran Parts". They have virtually none.

Good luck and I'll chime in if I have a light bulb pop on...

I'll check with them. Thanks.

Some better pics of the damage and what I'm dealing with.

Here you can see how funky they decided to design/build this door.

Here is the funky design of the seal. I'd pulled one end of the seal out of the area on the bottom edge of the door to see how bad the rust is.

womnder if we could make something like
Car Truck Interior Car Door Edge Rubber Moulding Trim Seal Black Strip 5ft | eBay

work.. might have to do this in 2 parts..one part that handles the door and the other part seals against the bus body.. or I should say ismounted on the bus body ..

are there any stickers on or aropund the lift door area for a possible 3rd party that may have installed the door and lift? amtrans and IC looks so much like the handicap door was an add-on vs factory..

IDK maybe I just don''t see what you mean but that seal doesn't look like it would work.

Got the door seal ordered. Well, sort of. I can still cancel it.
Got a welder buddy coming out today to see if we can save the crumbling bottom of the door.
Still wish I could just find a nice, rust free door!
I still wonder if I shouldn't just put in an rv door and panel in around it.
