WTB/Seeking Amtran Doors

I'm looking for a good used service door set for my shorty.
Its got an air cylinder to open it, but I'd like to get the linkage and all to make it a manually opened door.
My doors are pretty rotten at the bottom and the area the seal seats into is rusted out, so I'm really looking for the complete doors and linkage setup.
Here's what I have-


Also- if anyone's deleted their WC door or knows where I can find one I'm looking for a nice one of those as well-



I've tried asking the parts suppliers online, but they're always un-helpful douches when I ask them about any parts.
Anyone know of any juunk yards in the southeast that may have some AmTran/IC's??

no luck in finding the seal for the WC door. Anyone got any ideas where to look?
Should I try a Navistar dealer??

Anyone got any AmTran doors they wanna part with? Service, WC, and maybe even rear door.

I got a door seal from Florida Transportation - they are a Bluebird dealer -
It cost about $55 for the seal - they actually ordered the rear door - but it was close enough - they can get the WC door seal.

Already tried busparts.com they actually didn't have anything I needed.
IDK if A bluebird door seal would fit, this seal is super complex. It fits into a channel around the door, and has a lip that extends out for a half inch or so.
Even the parts places I've called have had zero ideas where to get one.

Have you tried googling "rubber door seal profiles" or similar ?
Looking at images results might let you find a supplier

ECCB.. Yesterday,I passed a place that had several busses out in a small lot. It's not that far from me, so if I get a chance in the next couple of days, I'll get over there and see if they have something you can use.

It appears to be a custom made seal, idk. I've tried google for weeks.

I ordered the rear door (I thought I ordered the WC door) - it was about 2' short - but I was able to cut and fit the pieces to make it work - and it doesn't leak any more.
But my WC door is similar to the rear door - I have not seen one like your - do you have a picture of the door seal that is there?

I meant to ask for a shot of the inside of the door - open. I will try to find some of the left over from the one I did.

Ok, never mind. That's a horse of a different color. I've never seen one with so much exterior exposed rubber.

My lift door has what looks like the same weather stripping you'd find in your car doors. My doors don't fit perfect and there's a gap here and there but that's just built in ventilation.

I thought to just use the kind of seal the rear door uses, but the WC door has a big channel running the entire outer edge that holds the seal in place. A "Y" shaped portion of the seal fits in that channel.

Don't you love propriatory parts? Only the real deal will work.

Maybe the door could be re-engineered just a little, if normal vehicular weather stripping could be made to work.

Other than that used rubber from the bus junk yard? I'd probably go ask the mechanic at the bus barn. They always like seeing what we do with their old buses anyway, so it's pretty easy to get information.

I don't see any AmTrans locally. Our bus barn is a bunch of clapped out Thomas buses.
All our buses go straight to a local auction where they sell for 8-12 grand each.
I've never seen a school bus at a junkyard here.

that door looks almost like what was used on IC BE series busses.. it almost looks like a non-factory add-on.. was the lift like a braunability or something? makes me wonder if Amtran sent the busses out to a 3rd party to have the doors installed..

here;s a long shot.. try calling Rush Truck Centers in Columbus Ohio with the VIN of the bus since its technically a Navistar maybe they list a part number for it which can be cross referenced. 614-541-4500. and ask for parts. they are a Navistar dealer, and their system seems to be able to at least look up part numbers, even if you dont buy it there.

Looks to me like somebody installed the wrong stuff on there. +1 for the suggestion that you wing it with some garage door gasket while you look for the long term solution.

I was going to suggest the black plastic flowerbed edging, but I wasn't sure if gardening supplies were acceptable.
