ha ha

i lived in sherman for a year. its a dry county, they had to drive that bus a few miles to get some beer.

my ex was a school bus driver and they did let her do her thing when on school trips with the bus. not that she drank, but we did go garage saling in the bus more than once, went to restaurants.... while waiting for track meets and bb games.

If it was hot weather I might have done the same thing. If you're on a long trip away from home without your personal vehicle it's common to use the form of transport you arrived in for personal needs. They needed beer. As long as they weren't drinking and driving it should have been ok.

That tattle tale convenience store clerk must be so proud. I guess the coaches shouldn't have been mean to that store clerk when he was in school.

trouble is unless they were the original bus drivers they were illegal driving the school bus as non CDL drivers, and also using the school property for personal use.. I know around here its customary for rural districts the drivers take their route busses home at night, many of the drivers live in rural homes with easy parking... they are completely forbid from driving it any form outside of school use.. even stopping for groceries on the way home from their route is a no no. they are permitted furing the middle of a route to drive their bus to a place to eat and oark it or such.. but it has to be when they are simply on their approved break and not just "oh I wasi n the bus after school so id run errands on the way home"..

not to mention the team going 7-14 im guessing they were already looking for a good reason to fire the coach...

Remaining hydrated is of utmost importance. Haven't we all learned that?

Only other thing I thought of as a possibility was that there might not've been any other chaperones on the trip.

If all of the coaches were getting hammered and there were to be any kind of emergency, that's not a good situation to be in.

But yeah, that clerk that called it in...

Duh... that's why we drink faster. Maybe I need to get DE-hydrated to feel better. If beer is a diuretic we can throw away our lisinopril and medicinally use beer. Actually I've been using gin and lots of limes, medicinally of course.
