They must have a real problem with drivers passing the buses while the flashers are on.

Don't you wish we could see video of the first few people that try to drive around the school bus?

Not beefy enough IMO, should have a lower one with steel Velociraptor claws on it, to Freddy Krueger the car side

Severe tire damage might work. Have an air powered spike strip that rolls out when the flashing lights come on.

Auto deploying stop sticks would help.

All they really needed is to replace the second stop sign with a bucket seat at the end of the arm, then you train a feral monkey from the Florida swamp to use a 12 gauge... Thereby providing jorbs for unemployed simians and keeping our children safe at the same time. Nobody is going to illegally passing when my BMCSS (Bus Monkey Child Safety System) is deployed...

All's well and good until a dumbass driver smashes a window out of a parked car on a one way street with that thing.

Do any buses have "stop light cameras" like they do at intersections?
A $500 fine would cure a lot of idiots of ignoring the red flashing lights.

City buses already have cameras for people that don't pay attention to the yield sign when the bus needs to enter traffic.
