Nothing wrong with CNG.

Every major City here in Alberta has a CNG fill station.

In Edmonton, 99% of all government vehicles run on CNG.

I might bid on one of the buses just to get the "Recardo driver seat".

CNG is a bit of a novelty yet. To give you and idea. My towing company was towing brand new CNG garbage trucks from NE Iowa to IL, so we could fill them up and they'd drive to FL from there.

Agreed. Atlantic County has just one CNG station, and that's for the jitney service that runs around the county. Some military bases have it, like Willow Grove ANGB, but still few and far between

State DOT has some Honda CNG cars for engineers and specialists to use. They have private filling stations outside the fence at their garages. But you need one of their fleet cards to run the pumps. And those with take-home cars for after-hours responses can get a waiver for gasoline if they live too far from a State tank.

Other agencies just loan some of their executives Priuses (Prii?) mixed into the fleet with the standard Impalas and Fusions.

Drove CNG buses in my other life. One pump available in our service area and sometimes that was down...So I'd call in and wait. They'd have to get another bus, reshuffle everything. I like the clean air contribution and all but...Our area was suburban, in an urban setting, no problem, lots of pumps.
