School bus "eats" Camaro in Omaha

The first news I received about this crash was on the two-way radio while I was driving my school bus route. I work for the same company. Glad none aboard the bus was hurt. Not surprised at that on account of how buses are built...but I assume all the kids were sitting down like they're supposed to.

At least one injured in crash involving school bus at 30th and Hamilton

I'd wager the kids hardly felt a thing

I do love how no one bullies the bus lol

In my truck and even more so when i drove motorcycle; people would crawl up behind and bullie their way through... not in the bus lol they go around. hehehe

i have kept my micro bluebird school bus yellow for now...i find it enjoyable to have school bus drivers all wave at me...and for the most part i think most people tend to give me the room and respect all school buses deserve...at least more than if i painted it some other color...although maybe it's my driving that keeps them at a distance.

Umm.... not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing..... do I need to stay off the sidewalks when you're out in it?

all the scol bus drivers wave at me in the DEV RANDOM bys.. but then it is older and looks a lot like a classic bus... even though not yellow.. perhaps the drivers remember driving older busses?

I get a few waves in the new bus

I did get a huge wave and big nod and smile the moment i drive the new bus off the school system lot when I bought it... it was a lady in a shiny new bus... so i half wonder if I wasnt driving her old bus.. of course i had a big grin like I get when I drive a bus.. i love driving it..

eventually ohio will yell at me for having it yellow.. though they havent yet.. I may try taking it to the DMV for registration before I paint it and see what happens.. LOL..

yes, it's fun sometimes...took my bus with a load of garbage to the county dump and when i entered got asked if i was lost and when i left asked if i dropped all the children in a dumpster...i of course said yes.

BB now makes its own chassis for the conventional (called "Vision") bodies. The ones at my work place run with propane-powered Ford V-8s.
