I believe that is where it originates. It's a popular saying in Minnesota thanks to The Mighty Ducks.

From http://www.urbandictionary.com....

1. cake eater 149 up, 41 down

A cake eater actually refers to Edina, MN, saying the people in it are so rich they can have their cake and eat it too. It could also refer to rich white suburban kids in general, too. And BTW- Mighty Ducks was filmed in Minnesota, so he's probably literally calling that kid a cake-eater from Edina.

2. cake eater 42 up, 13 down

In Minnesota this goes as follows:

Usually used as a derogative term for calling a person of wealth a spoiled 'you have it too easy' piece of $hit brat!

Usually called to rich kids who drive BMWs and Mercedes-Benz's and get their college and college housing totally paid for and also get a hefty monthly allowance that's so great that they have absolutely no need to work in order to maintain their lavish lifestyle. This is a cake eater.

Hummers are a bummer! Just think of how they will be considered in another 50 yrs. Probably will appear in the history books as ridiculous. Of course in fifty years the history books will all be encompassed in computers!

Well according to the History Channel, history is only about religion, UFOs, and monsters.

Re: School Bus vs Hummer

I think it's idiotic that people pick on Hummers so much. While everyone here seems to get it, most don't understand that they don't even sell "real" Hummers anymore. But still... why pick on Hummers? They're nothing but a half-ton SUV, LESS of a truck than any 3/4 ton pickup. I've got a 4x4 crew-cab duallie Chevy that will drag an H2 backwards uphill, and no one seems to single it out. I don't have a Hummer or any plans to ever buy one, but I think it's ridiculous how the general public has latched onto that particular rig to trash on.
