US school bus driver 'let kids drive'

http://www.onlypunjab.com/real/fulls...wsID-2700.html

Quote:
A school bus driver in the US state of Iowa has resigned after allegedly letting young children take the wheel.

The unnamed driver, from Carroll, could face charges as a result.

Six of 13 children on the bus on May 26 were said to have been allowed to drive. They were aged from 11 to 15.

A senior official from the local schools department said some of the children had told their parents about the incident.

Police said charges could be laid against the driver soon, reports the 6 news website.

Looks like they are making school bus enthusiasts at an early age now.

In my senior year of high school I had a bus driver that was an old retired trucker. He also had been a diesel mechanic for years. It was one of those cold snowy days that almost everybody else had gone home early or did not even go to school. I ended up being the only student on the bus that day. He went to start the bus up and sure enough it would not start. He said he thought it was the starter solenoid. He told me to hit the starter button and would go band on the solenoid. Sure I got it to start. Of course this was between the two of us. He would never let me drive though.

Re: US school bus driver 'let kids drive'

This bus driver needs some psychiatric help for whatever reason. An adult should not let a kid drive a car but to let the kids drive a bus and putting themselves and others in a high accident risk is outrageous. Thank God no accident occured because someone could have been injured or killed.
