Fuel Flow Logistics...any advice?

So we're designing our WVO system for our 1979 Crown Supercoach. It will be all onboard filtration via a Spinner II 25 Centrifuge and a Racor Heated filter/dewaterer. Our current fuel flow setup for diesel comes out of the tank, up to the fuel pump, into the engine, the fuel that isn't used is recirculated back to the tank. Initially our plan was to splice into the diesel fuel lines with our veggie lines (one send, one return) to and from seperate veggie tank and connected with two electronic valve switches. Then we heard from someone that we should set it up so that the veggie is never returned to the tank but just recirculated into the engine. Any advice on this; how it would be beneficial and how to do it?
