Need info about Detroit Diesel 8.2L fuel system

Hi again,
has anyone here had experience converting the Detroit Diesel 8.2L engine to burn Veggie oil (WVO)?
Does this model have an injector pump? Or just the fuel pump keeping everything under pressure?
Thanks, Phil

Background:
Hello all you experienced folks. I am fairly inexperienced and need some guidance.
I have a 1985 buebird/Ford with a 8.2L Detroit diesel in it. It will run on veggie oil, I have already collected and filtered over 100 gallons.

Re: Help! fuel line question regarding Detroit Diesel 8.2L

i wonder what's inside that line? compressors require full pressure oil lubrication from the engines oil pump. I can't think of any reason why there would be a fuel line running to a compressor. Some compressors also tend to have engine coolant lines also.

i would bet there is either oil or antifreeze inside that unknown hose...theres one way to find out!

Thanks for the quick response!! It prompted me to stick my tiny camera where my eyes can't see and fire off several shots. That line comes from the oil pan. Good Call, Thanks, and I'm one step closer to T'ing into those lines without unneccecarily breaking anything

From what I know any detroit is a good motor to run grease. Check out http://www.goldenfuelsystems.com they have a pretty comprehensive list of motor capabilities.
