Oh yeh, I went to school in Ottawa and lived there off and on for several years afterwards. I miss the people, but can't say I miss the city. Except for the biking.. Ottawa has fantastic bike paths and courteous drivers.
I called State Farm for a quote. We have them for our house and autos. I was quoted 46.00 a month for a commercial policy until the bus was converted then it would be changed to a RV policy.
State Farm. If you're around Boulder, call Jason Modlin at the Brad Rose agency in Gunbarrel. Phone is 303.440.4416.
His family does skoolies, and he knows what he's talking about. We've got all our insurance through him now —*Allstate wouldn't cover our future skoolie, so we went with the closest agent we could find. What a lucky find he was!
Alex (definitely tell him I sent you!)
I am stealing this info, if you dont mind. We are ready to get ours and need help with this.
It took me months to figure out how to get insured. I finally went through an insurance agent, and she vigorously asked around for about two weeks, she finally hooked me up on a commercial liability only insurance plan with progressive as a food truck at $100/month, she informed me that I would only be insured within 50 miles of my house unless I made a request to get that extended for a trip of some sort. I cancelled a few months after, but that got me a good looking insurance card that didn't say "food truck" anywhere on it.
