Getting plates for a shorty - Missouri

I finally bought a bus. It's a 2002 Ford E450 cutaway chassis. I got a commercial policy from progressive with no problems. Now how do I get it legal as a bus? Do I just go get a safety inspection on it like any other truck? The DMV has no idea. It's says bus and van on the title. I'm in Missouri.

Based on our trip through the red tape at the NH DMV/Title Bureau/etc, if the title says 'Bus', try to register it as that, just as long the dreaded word 'school' doesn't show up anywhere.

Thanks! No, it doesn't say school anywhere so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

So if anyone comes looking later I figured I would post how everything went.
It was really simple . I went to a state inspection shop that is know for working on large trucks and got the inspection. It passed and I went to the DMV, paid 75.00 for the plates. They asked me how many seats were in it (3) and gave me bus plates.

Glad everything worked out smoothly!

Nice! When I lived there I always dreaded going to the DMV. They can be sticklers for sure. Glad yours went smoothly and now you've added some knowledge for the next guy!
