FL Insurance

Just got off the phone with Kelly Newsome and she is knowledgeable, super helpful, and friendly!

She rattled off all the details like it was second nature! A true pro!

FYI - January 2nd 2020!

Can any of these mentioned above write policies in Louisiana? I was quoted 1300 to 1500 for the year locally. [emoji57]

I searched for bus insurance for the last week and it hasn't been fun but I'm so happy I found her!

Thanks!
I'm trying to get temporary coverage just to get my bus home for the hour drive and State Farm said that I needed to take all of the seats out for them to be able to write a policy. They are my current car insurance policy holders so I didn't want to lie.

I called Kelly and I have my fingers crossed! She is out of the office, but her coworker Susan was so kind and helpful and took all of my info to pass along to Kelly tomorrow.

Thanks for her info!

You are most welcome. Their whole office is great to work with.

FYI: If you get temporary insurance through Kelly, you will have to pay for a month as that is the minimum any insurance carrier can write insurance under normal circumstances. Kelly also told us that they can suspend the coverage while you have it in storage (i.e. buildout) and reinstate it as needed, again with a one month minimum. You may want to talk with her about all your options.

State Farm will insure anything you buy for 7 days under your existing policy. At least those of us I know have SF have that clause. That gets the bus home. State Farm will not write a policy until the conversion has been completed.
It was clear between us when I was going to pick up . "You will insure any vehicle I buy for 7 days under my existing policy." Yes, "You won't insure my bus in the condition it is in". No "But you will cover the bus as is for 7 days to get home" Yes.
I had an accident on the way home, cop asked my agent on the phone if I was covered. Agent answered Yes, Cop handed me my phone, his business card and went on his happy way.

It is good and pleasing to hear your angency backed up their claims by covering you on your accident.

Charlie, you must have typed something wrong ... in post #20 above you said you paid $168.00 .... maybe that was supposed to be $186?

Give Kelly a call! She has a thick folder on her desk of folks she was able to help get insurance in other states. If she can not write it, she has a lot of contacts that can, or will know others that can. She speaks SKOOLIE as well as insurance.

I'd be very careful and would want that in writing.
I did this same thing with a different co in a different state and had disastrous results.
Find out for yourselves, folks. And get it in writing!

Yup, my policy will do the 7 days thing for "a vehicle similar to the currently insured" or something like that...

Reached out to her over email and had a brief phone conversation this morning.

If it is this simple... what on earth did I struggle for.

Just got off the phone with them. Very easy to work with! I'm actually planning on switching my truck's insurance over to them as well, so here's hoping that I'll get a break on my insurance from here on out.

A lady named Susan answered the phone when I first called... the very first question she asked was if this call was in reference to a skoolie. I asked her how often they get these types of calls in and she said she's fielded hundreds. It's safe to say that they must love our business!
