Great full coverage skoolie Insurance for Florida Buses

Found a great agent that went above and beyond to help me get full coverage for my bus! She is available to help any others as long as they are in Florida. Kelly Newsome, all state agent for 18 + years. Her number is 352-326-9300. Email: kellynewsome1@allstate.com.

I searched for bus insurance for the last week and it hasn't been fun but I'm so happy I found her!

Thanks!

She's in my hometown and I think I went to school with her.
I don't want full coverage, but I'll call up and see if I can get a cheap liability only policy!

What part of FL are you in?

Oh nice. I'm local and familiar with Howey.
I've been slacking on my bus work lately, but I've got a few buses stashed out on a friend's property in Sorrento.

Any details about the plan you got? Is it a commercial for personal use approaching a thousand dollars per year, or is is an RV policy for much less?

I've been just buying them, driving them, then selling them. As far as i've gotten in converting was a roof raise and gutting.

Non-professional Bus Conversion policy is what All state considers it. I keep high insurance coverages because I never want to worry about being sued but the whole policy including, tow, 3000 in personal belongings, full replacement, 250K / 500K bodily injury and 300K in property damage was just above $800 for the year.

I havent been bugged by progressive.. I have all 3 of my busses insured with full coverage for just under 1400 for the year.. thats comp collision, extra liability, declared value, and ability for anyone to drive.. none of mine are converted. but they never asked to see pictures.. they did ask on the last one i got how many seats it has.. I should probably put the Superior on a limited use policy thats cheaper as i wont be driving it alot till its restored..

Thank you so much for this! Got insurance from her yesterday. She was so nice and I told her that was the fastest, least painful insurance policy experience I have ever experienced. I told her you referred me. Again, thank you, we are so close to being legal now! -Hillary

Hello

I'm currently based in FL looking into buying a bus to convert. Roughly what did you pay per year for the insurance and what did it cover? I hear it's a pain to get and can be very expressive if you can find it.

Thanks

Aside from the above mentioned insurance (which sounds like a really great deal) - I have Liability only on my bus through AllState - for $127 a year.
A lot will depend on your zip code - my insurance dropped significantly when I moved out of Tampa / Hillsborough. I set up residency in another county.

I'm kind of amazed by the liabilty-only insurance rates I keep seeing here. Until recently I was paying around $50 a month to esurance for the bare minimum coverage on my 2002 VW Jetta. You'd think rates would be higher for something like a bus. What am I missing here?

High school kids driving their parents hand-me-down Jettas have driven up the premiums perhaps.

I can write full coverage or liability in TN and GA with Liberty Mutual. I have written about 30 skoolie policies from skoolie.net on 5 months! Happy to help.
