Homeowner's insurance for a bus?

My plan long term is to live in my bus full time in a static location. I'm not so concerned with damage to the bus as I am with the contents of the bus.

Does anyone have experience with insuring your bus as your home or is property loss (fire, theft, natural disasters etc) just the cost of choosing a skoolie lifestyle?

Not sure homeowners is even an option for a vehicle. Once my vehicles reach ten years old I drop my collision insurance. You have to think about the actual worth of what you're insuring compared to the cost to insure it. Often, you can save money by not insuring even if you do someday have a loss.

Many home owner policies have a rider available that will cover the contents of a travel trailer or RV.

You are looking for what is known as full timers insurance, with a skoolie... good luck. Reason number 1 I plan on getting a motor coach to convert.
