How to get a bus home from Virginia?

We are hopefully going to look at a bus in Virginia this weekend. The ideal plan is to fly down, check it out and drive it back (to NH). The issue is registration. We could do this in two trips, buying it this weekend, then travel back to NH, get plates during the week and go back down and drive it home. We'd like to avoid the extra trip.

VA does have temp trip plates, but it looks like it's only for VA residents AND within VA only. Besides all the other shady options, how else can we do this?

Thanks,
Dave

We ended up getting a BOS from the seller before actually buying the bus. That enabled us to get the NH temp plates before heading down. He still had the title which he signed over to us when we paid for it.
