Received my plates and copy of my application in the mail today!! WoOt! On my application they corrected a few things that I thought I'd share. I filled out everything that the original post on this mentioned.

- They blacked out my license number. So, I assume this means you don't need to include it.
- They changed the Make from Blue Bird to BLUB
- They changed Model from TC2000 to TK
- They changed Body Type from TK to MH

A couple questions for folks who have done this:
- Am I now just waiting for an official registration to come in the mail? How long does that typically take?
- I didn't go down the Title road since it is over 15 yrs old. But now I'm wondering if I should have for some reason. Would it hurt to get the title done too? Or is there no need since I will be getting a transferrable registration?

One last note -- the phone numbers on their website haven't worked for me. But, I submitted a question through their feedback link on the site and they've been pretty responsive getting back to me.

Thanks so much for this thread! Just wanted to post our success with this. We applied for our registration in VT at the beginning of April, and received the registration in the mail about 3 weeks later. We live in WV. It said the plates were to follow within 4 weeks. YAY! CAN. NOT. WAIT.

They won't give you a title at all. Just a transferable registration.
Thanks for the rest of the update.

I have the title, but no bill of sale. Is that going to be ok?

So I was curious what would happen if I tried to insure mine through Progressive by routing through the USAA website. Essentially, I logged into USAA and was routed to a USAA-branded Progressive site. I filled in my bus details and was able to purchase insurance! I completed the sale, printed my ID cards, etc. I am anxious to hear if they are going to come back and withdraw my coverage, but this process worked. $125/year for basic liability coverage in MD.

The woman working at the DMV office also changed the body type on my registration to "HC" not sure what that means.

She also looked up the book value on my E450 chassis and said it was $12,000 trade-in and retail $18,000

BUT luckily since I bought it from a dealer I was only charged tax on the bill of sale price. Otherwise they would have tried to charge me for $12,000, I would have said no thanks at that point.

HC stand for House Car. That is the depression era name for vehicles made into camping type vehicles. Modern translation, motorhome.

What it's called just depends on what state you're in.
