State Farm is charging me $83 a month for the bus. After I remove the wheel chair lift and rear AC, I am going to drive it to county landfill and weight it and see how much it weights.
I also have a friend that owns a recycling yard and I am sure his scale will weight my bus as less than 10,000lbs.
I have a E150 van and it weight 4,800lb. I don't think my bus weight more than twice the weight of the E150.

My question is:
After I am done with my conversion, can I re-register it as an RV?

I agree that insurance is extortion. But my auto, boat, and motorcycle insurance with Flo are dirt cheap.

I wish we could all find reasonable insurance for reasonably converted buses.

But I don't want them to assume liability for trailer park conversions...
