Michigan Licensing - Air Brakes

If I am operating a bus for person use that happens to have air brakes, do I need to get a CDL with air brakes endorsement, or do I just need to pass the air brakes test? Do I need to take any tests at all? I'm wondering if it is worth all this hassle.

Depends on the state. In many places, nothing is needed beyond a regular licence. I work with three people driving air-brake box trucks with regular licences.
