Missouri Skoolie - Personal Property Tax

Anybody else from Missouri out there that has gone thru the bus to rv conversion process know how to list their bus on the personal property tax form?

I jumped thru all the hoops to be legal.
Commercial Insurance for the ride home
Somebody with a CDL to do the do the driving for me
Stripped seats including drivers and parts of the dash
Went to DMV to transfer title, needed IDOD inspection
Put seat and Dash back in,
Drive to get IDOD Inspection
Went to DMV to transfer title, need mechanical inspection
Drove to get mechanical Inspection
Finished Strip and Installed RV Stuff
Drove to Highway Patrol for RV Inspection
Took Inspection papers to DMV, they game me papers and amount
Sent in papers and check to Dept of Revenue
Month later got a letter back saying i was $7.50 short
Called Revenue, they said only payment by mail
Sent in Check for the $7.50
Another Month, call from Highway Patrol to come get new Vin
Drive to Highway patrol, they install new Vin Tag
Send in more paperwork to RV
Month later, finally get tags

Now almost 6 months later, I finally have my tags and a new RV Vin Number, but my title says "2018 RV"
The local assessor is telling me that the description on the property tax form has to match that on the title, but if i put that on the form I will be charged a crazy amount of tax....

I am not sure how similar or different things may be in Missouri.

Here in Washington if you have a dispute over assessed value you can appeal to the Department of Revenue and show your case for your stated value.

I have only been through this process once. I was successful and saved myself about $1200.

Good luck.
