Registered & Insured!
After reading the threads here about getting a bus registered in California, I was worried. However when I went to the DMV it took about fifteen minutes and I walked out with new license plates and registration.
I thought I would have to non-op it until the conversion was done. I mentioned this and was told that the school district already had the bus registered as an automobile! So, I paid sales tax, transfer fees, registration, and got out of there as fast as possible.
My local AAA office is across the street from the DMV. I walked across and added it to my policy as a motor home. Ten minutes later walk out insured!
Needless to say I'm a happy camper!
