What Marc said

I have done this twice with State Farm. Just to be safe, I did it by email so I had record of the conversation. May not have been necessary but it gave me piece of mind.

Do you have a bad driving record? Seems awfully high. I was quoted $618/yr for full coverage of

Liability (BI/PD) $100,000 person/$300,000 accident/$50,000 property damage
Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury $100,000 person/$300,000 accident Added On
Medical Payments $5,000 each person
Trailer $0-$2,500 (included w/Physical Damage coverage)

Physical Damage Settlement Options Actual Cash Value
Comprehensive $500 deductible
Collision $500 deductible
Disappearing Deductibles No coverage
Uninsured Motorist Property Damage $50,000 Added On (with $1,000 ded)
Emergency Expense $750 (included w/Physical Damage coverage)
Vacation Liability $10,000 (included w/Physical Damage coverage)
Roadside Assistance Selected
Replacement Cost Personal Effects $2,000

My personal and a couple of other things Are a little higher. It's in my wife's name. She's 28. No record. Our first bus was a lot cheaper, but we were cancelled pretty fast.

I called around today to local agents that do progressive commercial and they told me they will not insure for personal use. One agent flat out denied while the other ran it through and the system denied it. She made it so I was an LLC and was able to give me a quote. Go figure.

I don't know how they can claim to be the "Only solution for Skoolie insurance", when #1 there are lots of people insured by others. and #2 no one is insured by them.

You are correct, sir!

I'm grateful I sprung for that Dometic dunny with a ceramic bowl for the Turquoise Tortoise, because it surely smells like a big ol' steaming #2 to me...

My agent got me an Allstate policy. Full coverage including towing for $770.00 a year. In Ohio, I was able to re-title my bus as an RV provided I installed a bed, cooktop, table, and refrigerator. Once I installed all of those, I was able to print a form from the title bureau's website as well as a form from the BMV website. Once they were completed and notarized, I spent 5 minutes at the title bureau (16.00 for title change) and then 15 minutes (71.00 for new plates) and I was on the road. Goodsam insurance wanted the same amount for liability only and they were nitpicking every picture I sent them.

Allstate seemed to be the way to go. Good luck!!

I am using National General Insurance here in Georgia, been with them since they were GMAC going on 12 years now.
They are reasonable on their rates but slowly go up every year not to mention Georgia adds a Vehicle Impact Fee which adds $100.00 a year to my tag fee.

Insurance companies tell me they increase their rates due to the state of Georgia, but I think I am just paying for their losses.

Insurance on a bus is hard to get with some companies, but try National General if all else fails.
