I called a week ago. They said they would insure me if it was not complete but they wanted to see photos. I took the photos and sent them along. It has been 3 days (now it is the weekend) and I am still waiting. BUT the nice woman I spoke with assured me they do insure non-complete buses.

I called Good Sam but her email address is from National General Insurance. Are they the same company I wonder?

Could you PM me her contact... Although I suspect that each state has different agents.

I never thought I'd see the day!!

We got insurance through National General / Good Sam.

It cost us $785 for a year. But at this point I don't care. It has been 1 year and 3 days since we got the bus and all we've been able to do is drive it up and down our street.

Tomorrow we get a plate for it and as soon as my new rear view mirrors show up we are going to get new tires!!! Time to spend MONEY!!

I wonder if it will shift out of 2nd??

i live in Delaware and have state farm for my cars they will not touch the bus converted or not. My vin comes up for me as an RV chassis but state farm specifically
says its a bus which it is. I'm trying to find insurance now thats why i got on here. All my inquiries where on the phone with a person and so far i haven't had any luck. DE DMV will give me an RV tag no questions asked i just have to get the insurance company to buy into it.

I am lucky, American Family covers my skoolie full coverage, roadside, towing, glass and value of the bus for $290 a year registered as a conversation RV with partial roadway use 4-6 months. It will go up as the value increases but, still a good deal.

What does your title say? RV or Bus? Are you insured as commercial for private use or private? Inquiring mind here

That is interesting. I wonder if it is your agent or maybe a Delaware thing?

I had my last converted bus insured with State farm for years. My new bus they have insured as "commercial vehicle for personal use". They will insure it as an RV after the conversion is complete.
