Re: Anyone taken a Skoolie down south?

Taxes on the RV will be the sales tax in state where you purchase the bus.
SOme states have a personnal property tax, and that would depend on where you live or register the bus/RV.

As far as taxes for living in Mexico there are none. Related to the bus anyway.

Lots of RVers got to Mexico for the winter, none that I know of, or have hear from had any tax problems....
Good luck onthe conversion and the trip

Re: Anyone taken a Skoolie down south?

Good luck getting through the border and border towns. Any Mexican town within 100 miles of the border is likely to be pretty sketchy. You'll have to figure out how much the border agents, checkpoint agents, Federales and various other thugs are demanding for bribes to let you pass through their territory. And God help you if the narcos get a hold of you, 'cause then it's not a bribe that's required, but a ransom.
