Not far from Red Rocks, I want to take my grand daughter to her first concert there, I will have to look into that, sounds good. Thanks for the tip. I am looking at google maps right now trying to figure out the boondocking spot. Thanks for the tip.

Rock on !

Here's a look at what I was talking about. Mid-September it got close to freezing at night, but we didn't have heat or electricity other than lights and we were OK. Cold, but OK. Daytime was pretty comfortable.

Rosie chillin' at the boondocking site.

Sunset at our free campsite.

Panorama of the site.

The road.

Panorama of the Collegiate Peaks.

Mid-September fall colors. Lots of birch trees.

Taylor Lake Reservoir

$12/night campground just before the boondocking sites. I don't think they had electric but they did have a water pump.

View from our campsite at River's End.

Panorama at River's End with Taylor Lake and the Collegiate Peaks in the background.

Wonderful rainbow after a storm.

The edge of our site at River's End.

Cottonwood Pass. Continental Divide at 12,126 feet.

The road just on the other side of the pass. The whole thing is 18 miles I think. Slow driving only!

That would be great! My bus won't be near ready for the drive by then, but maybe the wife and I could come down, bring some pics, and a tent, share ideas and talk bus.

Colorado Meeting

Ya we can meet on the plains and make bus talk. If we want to meet again we can view scenery and make bus talk. Colorado has so much to offer for bus lovers, but we have to start somewhere, so let us start on the plains and just talk bus and move to more scenic areas and talk bus and everything else.
