I hope you can make it down and enjoy Southern Colorado with us. There is no better time to talk bus conversion than right at the start, you may get some ideas that make everything easier later on.

there is a tandem colorado skoolie group on facebook that got the what pictures were taken.

there were only 2 buses, mine and the Savage's. we were across from each other at the campground so not the easiest photo opportunity.
here we are in trinidad:

We are planning to get together again next Spring. We have not picked a spot to meet yet so if you have any good ideas or personal favorite campgrounds then let everybody know.

We have sold our business and our home and are moving to live full-time on the road. Will be living south for winter in travel trailer and hope to work on bus where its warm. Will be going to Alaska for summer and leave bus south with hopes to finish it next winter. We will watch for your future get togethers and may be able to connect again.

We could all chip in like $20 and BUY a piece of actual "skoolie land" out in the San Luis area for all of us to use and have meetups.
I'm not even a Co resident, but I'd chip in $50.

I'm buying a small half acre lot uncleared in the ocala natl forest to do something similar. Would be nice to have bonafide skoolie spots for responsible members to use for meetups or whatever.

my place here would sure accommodate as many that would want to show up. im on 5 acres out in the middle of nowhere. my ex and i used to host a group of campers out here, so my garage has been wired to support 6-8 campers plugging in 15 amp service.

problem is... its out on the eastern plains of Colorado, barely a tree to even see. that leaves puffing on a hooter, or drinking as our entertainment. i'd host a skoolie meetup in a heartbeat.

However, Colorado has so many beautiful places to see. i think the next meetup needs to be convenient to the front range so we can get some more involvement. or up in the mountains.

Horsetooth?
black canyon?
what about tailgating a broncos game or some concert at redrocks?
lake granby.
RMNP
Dillon
Rifle
vail
anywhere in between.
lots of forest service free places.
could be a campground
could be a walmart parking lot
lets get some ideas going

Mesa Verde is one of my favorite places on Earth. Getting up and down in a skoolie might prove difficult for some though plus it cost money just to get in... Anybody done the drive up and down to the park in a bus have any input? Also they are run by Aramark now so prices seem to be going up since the last time I was there a decade ago...
