we had one H*LL!! of a storm over here in Gainesville.. I havent been out to check the Bus yet.. the NWS clocked the winds at 65-70.. the hotel lost at least one window... the bus was shielded somewhat by a building.. im guessing there will be some water in places that shouldnt have water.. and now its just gonna be sunny and 60s and 70s the next few days in st pete where imn headed..

A little rain here overnight, the metal roof of the bus really exaggerates how hard it is coming down. We did really good with this Walmart lot but I think we are going to drive some this morning. Currently in fort Pierce, maybe headed to Coco or Titusville.

LOL... my mom with her flip phone yesterday. She's 85 and won't get a smart phone! We were at the funeral home planning for her service, which she told the guy a hundred times her cardiologist told her she'll live to be 100
She's adorable!

I don't want to sound like a beer snob but I'm kind of a beer snob so I was planning to bring my own beers. I don't drink much and will have enough to share but I'm originally from St Louis and tend to avoid beers made there 😁

Well- I can't even drink the stuff. But was gonna try to get a cigar city brew since they're local. Their Invasion Pale Ale is amazing.
But yeah bring beer! Can't have too much.

Looking forward to watchin Easy Rider on the bus screen!

hey where exactly are we meeting up? I need to figure out where im staying..

my attempt at painting my inner fender wells myself utterly failed.. the road salt, rain, and sleet I was in at the beginning of the trip washed alot of that off... time to find a different way.

also do you have any food for a plain-jane guy like me? (im not into anything with seafood, vegetables, game, fruit, etc).. or if you got a grill do I just bring some burger meat?

do you all want me to bring anything? pop? plates? meat? chips? etc?

RedByrd and I are back in st pete it survived the crazy storm in gainesville last night with only a little water on the floor under the hatch...

ahhhh was so nice driving today to turn on the A/C for a change instead of Maximum Heat! seems like my Freon might be a little low..

my radiator fan was still a bit lazy coming on but the bus never went above 208 degrees.. (not like last fall where it went to 230) not bad for a T-444E in 83 degree weather.. I think I'll adjust the fan clutch speed up just a tad.

Did you get the address?
The street view is posted a few pages back somewhere. I'm asking for rsvp's so I can gauge how many folks are planning to show up and when.
I'm making chili. Spicy chili. There's a grill on my buddy's back porch that you or anyone can use.

Just remember to be courteous, and leave no trace... This is someone's BIG yard we're gonna do this in. Not directed at you, just throwing that out as a PSA. If it were on public land I'd make it a FREE FOR ALL sorta thing. Bedlam and mayhem, and all that. But Its my bus' landlord's place so lets all be cool!
Drinking, smoking, cursing are all permitted, encouraged even.

Not really sure how to entertain folks, but just getting together for a weekend is pretty fun, and we'll have buses!
Chili, a fire, beer, buses- good times.

I like spicy chili, please don't put corn on it though!

Christopher I think we will be in the area tomorrow or the next day so we can be Walmart neighbors if you want.

I got 2 addresses you PM'd me but didnt know which one we are meeting at. who needs entertainment? I think busses, people, food, and drink are good enough entertainment...

I plan to be there friday whenever it starts, im going to come imn and out so park me where i can drive out.. i'll just have the bus and no Toad.

since you have all the tools and such i drove redByrd which has no cooking, generating, sleeping, or refrigerating capabilities.. I'll catch a hotel room someplace .. my Customers in Orlando Love the busses so they always let me park em there.

No corn in our chili!
Pretty basic chili. With a ghost chile thrown in then removed before serving. Adds a nice, smoky heat.
Corn bread will be limited as we can only make small batches of it in our gluten free kitchen. So bring fritos or cornbread if you like. Probably gonna go with just some good, pasture raised grass fed beef since I'm making a bunch. I usually use navy beans and red beans. Pintos occasionally.
Its usually pretty dank!

What kind of yeller' lily livered city slicker puts corn in chili? They'll take away your chili manufacturing license for that...

I like to throw in about half a dozen habaneros, half a dozen jalaps, and two ghost peppers in mine... I leave 'em in... I am, however the only person I've found that will actually eat and enjoy my chili... I've been told I like spicy foods though...
