Independent filmmaker seeking busses with business

I am in a nationwide search of people who live on a bus and also work from their bus. I will be taking my bus around the country this spring and summer, documenting the lives of people who have a profitable or sustaining business from their bus.

If you or someone you know falls into this category, please reply to this post.

Mucho gusto

I am still in the planning stages, but already have signed clients to contracts for "Willie's Woodshop". I am going to install workbenches and tools to teach woodshop to kids ages 5-14 at day camps, parks & rec centers, craft fairs, etc. I have financial backing and a business plan in place. I am just having difficulty locating a bus that is an appropriate size, is in reasonable working condition, is within my budget and not 900 miles away from my present home. I have a start date of June 21, so I really need to get going on this project

That sounds really fun man, good for you. Being a woodworker myself, this sounds really exciting. Yeah, it sounds like you gotta get a special bus for your demands. How big are you thinking? And what state are you in. Which states do you plan on traveling to and will the bus be your residence during these events?

You have a great plan, please follow up on here or with an email if you can. Manandtree@live.com

Good luck

Re: Independent filmmaker seeking busses with business

We are currently in an RV. Our unconverted bus is in NM. We have a Food trailer (hot dog "cart" that can be seen here http://photobucket.com/DavidsHotDogCart ) and we are currently selling in our 4th state since March 2009. We will stick here in Corpus Christi a while but plan to work in NM for the summer. We need to build a second cart before we bring the bus down here to convert... at least enough to move into it.

Re: Independent filmmaker seeking busses with business

We're sill in the process of converting our skoolie, I would say check in with us again around the summer. My boyfriend is a game programmer and I'm a visual artist and musician. right now we're already making enough to support ourselves, we just have to transition ourselves into the bus when it's ready...
