Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!

I talked to a guy at camp zoe yesterday and thought that I would pass it along. Camp zoe has modern bathrooms and electrical hookups in one part of the campground. or you can get as rustic and primitive as you want. They do not have a dump station at all. Nick ( the camp zoe guy that I talked to ) said that June would be a good month for us to camp as there is nothing planned. Is anybody interested in doing this, or should we keep looking. Just let me know. I will do what I can to help but if nobody wants to follow through with this I won't waste anybody's time.
Thank,
Dave

What do you guys think? Is anyone else interested? Should we look at another location? Should we look at another time? Let me know what I can do to help.

I have to discuss it with my wife yet, but I think I can come in June. The location looks great. I'll confirm soon.

At the moment I can't commit that far in advance, but the location looks great. Only about 550 miles from my location. Less than a tank of fuel (one way). I will know for sure by the last week of April, but I will plan on being there if God is willing and the fuel prices don't rise.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!

It looks like Pablo will be tied up for the weekend of the 7-8. That leaves the 14-15, 21-22, 28-29. why don't we hash it over and settle on a date. Or any other alternative and I will schedule time off of work. I know that at least for me, the more notice the better. If we decide to do this and get a rough idea of how many buses will attend, I'll let the folks at Camp Zoe know. He said if we could to keep him in the loop it would be better in case something comes up.
Thanks,
Dave

Do we know if camp Zoe will be accomodating to partially converted buses? Mine won't be nearly done by then.

I don't see a problem. When I talked to the guy at camp zoe he was intrigued by this whole bus thing. A school bus is a school bus weather the conversion is completed or not. I will give you the phone # tomorrow (it's in my desk at work) or call and check if you prefer. I am good to go in June myself. I am looking forward to it.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!

Who can make it the weekend of the 14th and 15th the 15th is fathers day.I think about 3 of us have committed I just thought that I would throw out a date.If we need to look at somewhere else or another date just say it. It is hard for me to take time off of work with short notice. I was thinking about taking off in time to arrive at camp zoe on fri. Evening and stay until Mon. Morning. But I'm flexible.

Those dates sound good to me! I SHOULD be able to make it. I get paid on the 13th, so I can just blow my whole pay check on diesel!

Could someone start a new thread spelling out all the details on this to make it easier to read?
