Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!
I think Branson would be a terrible place, that place is a nightmare to even drive a car around. I can imagine a parade of buses taking an hour to make a left turn.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!
Is this going to be in some town? I thought it was at one of the lakes. I don't want to travel all that way to hang out in town. I want nature, damit!

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!
I've been to Eureka Springs, AR and Table Rock lake. Both are VERY nice places. I sure wouldn't want to drive my bus through Branson. It's VERY congested there even on a light day. Another great area is Devil's Den State Park in NW Arkansas. It's a beautiful place, there isn't a lot of traffic to get there, and there's lots to do. Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, some small caves, etc.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!
Well, what do you guys think? We should get a location nailed down pretty quick here I'd think. Then we can work the date in after that. No one location is going to be good for everybody. Should we make a poll?

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!
Sounds great to me. Ya"ll hash it over and when everyone agrees on a location and a date, I'll schedule some time off work. I"m really looking forward to seeing all of the busses and meeting folks to swap ideas etc.
We built ol' buster just for a deercamp wagon but I believe he'll make it to that part of the country no problem.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!
You guys know that "whodat" is Arky right?
The only reason he posts on here it to plug his site... I mean the Yahoo site that he babysits. Search his posts you will see what I mean.
Imaging sitting around a campfire with that guy

Does this mean that we're invited to Arky's place? I never thought I'd see the day.

I'm sure his only reason for posting that was to plug the Yahoo site. Almost all of his posts have a link to the Yahoo site, that most of us are banned from.
If he really is inviting us I would beware... He is obviously bi-polar or has some kind of "Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde" disorder (you can tell from reading his posts) I would strongly recommend not making a long distance trip to say with him without a back up plan or two in place.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!
Have we mentioned Camp Zoe?
Check their website, 330 acres nestled among 90,000 acres of national reserve. Current River runs through the property...showers, bathrooms, their own septic company on-site, canoe trips, enjoyment for the whole family...and just plain Kind people, open to all walks of life. Our favorite place on the planet, hands down!!!

Don't worry, I've been around these forums, to have a pretty good idea of our "good friend" Arky. If I remember right, there was a thread, about two years ago, discussing him and his site in detail. If I'm not mistaken, Steve (or someone) kinda put a stop to the discussions, in which I agree with 100%.
NO, I would not go to Arky's place and I would try to avoid him as much as I can (he is demented).
So, with that said, I'm going to stop writing about Arky and his site, while I enjoy myself here.
BTW guys, Merry Christmas

I agree, I'm too exited about the gathering to get off track. I vote camp Zoe myself but am pretty flexible still.
Let me know and Merry Christmas!
