PS do we have to pick cotton or anything? I've done that . HA HA

No cotton picking is required but there will be some beer drinking mandatory.

I'm guessing that the members on this site, if willing, would be able to host you and your wonderfully redone superior all the way from cali up here.

The building site has 100amp service for the whole property so probably going to be a boondocking experience of sorts.

I've set aside the weekend/week of August 14-16 for this event. We can host any number of rigs, large and small, and if you bring enough leveling blocks you can park just about anywhere. Even if no one else shows up, I'll be here drinking beer and roasting marshmallows over the fire and I promise, I'll post pics

Re: Midwest get-together ??

Thanks bamper, somewhere and claydbal. That weekend is no problem for me and I'll look at boondock etc in a minute. I'd rather work up a fund to get Bamper 200 amp service so those who need electrons could plug in. I have no idea what that entails but I'll chip in $100 bucks to get 'er done! Just let me know.. I'd love to meet a bunch of other skoolies and swap lies. Somewhere, you are right this would be as close as we'll ever get to meeting so lets go for it! Jack

Bansil, I take it that means you're in! Great! Looks like about 2100 miles one way for me and about 5 days--sounds like fun Jack

I see no reason to drive that far for only a weekend of camping. If y'all want to stay longer you are more than welcome. I can usually take time off pretty easily so no issues there.

I'll converse with my electrician to see what it would take to get a larger service out here. It's been on my to do list for a while now and this is a good excuse to finally do it ! !

Been away for awhile. Bamper, I will be there for sure. (God willing) On a side note. I'm in eastern Iowa about an hr north of I80. If anybody needs to camp or crash along the way, I'm here for ya. Only 10 acres, but we have alot of parking and a nice shop.

I hadn't thought of that. If Andrews, IN is on any one's way, I've got plenty of parking. Parking and lies are free

Really, I'd say more like 24. In my semi I used 50 for my average and I had the horsepower to pretty much climb any mountain as fast as I wanted. Even in the plains states it's hard to maintain a 65 MPH average. Then there's Nashville, at least you won't have to go through Chicago.

I don't know if it's still a go, but if it is, I'd be interested too.

Huh... only 10 hours away from me. Sounds like fun.. I'm not sure I'll have the opportunity to be away from "real life" this summer for the amount of time it would take to do the journey, though.

I'll be watching this thread nonetheless.

If it's still on, I'm interested. Once our bus is done we're headed to Alaska from NC and coming through that general direction. I'd love to meet a bunch of Skoolies!
