If one MUST be owned by a gato, ginger tabbies are at the top of the list! (Even those that seek repose upon walls)
Course, I don't get out very much...

we went to the SPCA in search of an orange tabby kitten - the only one they had close to that description was more pink than orange - as he grew older, his coat lost the pink hue, but stayed quite light - then I found out that shade is called 'Champagne' - with all the dogs we have here, I was reluctant to get a cat, but we suffered a plague of mice and the house was over run with a bunch of ninja mice that could trip a trap and duck out of the way of getting caught, so "Milo' entered the scene - at 13 weeks he was catching mice, and his hunting combined with his smell, I guess, rid us of our invader - at 6 months he had all the house dogs tamed and under control - now at 2 years, he pretty much controls the house - lol

Good times. very nice place. No pix but the water was very high in the lake..Lots of kayakers. 30 miles from our house.

Bonus pic of Spooky the cat at home. He was tired after all the lizard chasing.

Leaving in the AM, first stop= Joshua Tree NP for 2 nights. Off to a buddy's to park next to his barn while Mary parties with her daughter until Sunday then it's off to Bishop CA for 3 nights. One more night at buddy's then to Buckskin Mountain SP AZ on the CO River for 2 nights, then home on the 26-27.

Phone service will be spotty but I put up pics when I can.

gas here in my beautiful part of BC is $4.91 per US gal- Vancouver/lower mainland are considerably higher - Alberta, a few days ago was as low as $3.66 a US gal - of course that's in Canadian $, so take 25% off those prices - so 3.68 for me, about $4.25 for Vancouver, and $2.74 for Alberta

Made it to buddy house in CA. Lots of hills to climb today, our mpg for the 1st 500 miles is our usual 11 plus. 11.6 actually.
