we just did a couple thousand miles.
we hate parking lots and normally do state and federal parks.
but during the winter most are closed.
sometimes we just stay there anyway in the day area lol.
so sometimes we stay in RV parks.
some are really nice and some are simply glorified parking lots.
we just stay for a day or two to rest up and take showers.
below are what we have come across lately.
OK TO STAY:
Ashland Creekside RV park OR.
Rocky Point Resort OR.
Lake of the woods OR.
KOA Klamath falls OR. ( no horse trailer conversions )
KOA Mount Shasta CA.
Sacramento river RV park Redding CA. ( good for a night or two only? )
flag city RV park Lodi CA. ( 50/50 chance ) winter jacuzzi, pool awesome!
Bear mountain RV park Bakersfield CA.
TURNED AWAY:
KOA gold hill OR.
KOA Bakersfield CA.
so your chances are still pretty good.
we like to freeform and just get in the bus and go and stop whenever we want with no reservations.
a advantage of having a short bus.
Enjoy and keep the dream alive!
