Get out from under that chair... I love it up there, piece and quiet, some dogs and cows and good folks to chat with.
Can't wait!

Its mowed, most of the trash and debris is all gone or in burn piles, and the driveway was re-graveled a few months ago. Fixed a hole in the fence that the cows were getting through. Should be all set!!
I'm going to move my buses so theyre up front of the house and visible from the road.
We'll have balloons on the fence or gate, too. Gate will be wide open. Parking will be obvious- just watch for the stakes out in the front yard. Don't run them over, they're markers for the house John's having built.
If we run out of space in the "yard" we can always fit more in the 20 acres of cow pasture. No problem finding space.

Can't wait!! I'll need to plug in, as I have a fridge full of food and no solar yet. Maybe one day.

We have a generator, but you may be able to find a place to plug in that's a bit quieter.

Summer like temperatures expected in central Florida today through Saturday.
Those who haven't driven their busses in 90 degree heat on longer trips , watch your temperature!
ESP the t444e and dt466 variants. These often likexto slowly creep warmer and warmer as you drive,
220 is HOT! On a dt466, 230 is alarm bells ring on a t444e.
If the oil /water alarm screams on the dash lower your speed right away. If it doesn't go out within a minute pull over and idle for a minute , open your heater valves and turn the defrost on.
You try and idle your way. Poker without turning off the engine but if you lost your belt or coolant leak you'll have to shut it off.
These engines cool down pretty quickly if just being pushed a little hard in the heat.
The 444e is the worst culprit but weak fan on a dt466 will cause it to creep up.
Take it easy and all will be fun! It's supposed to cool down some by Sunday , and anyone traveling north next week may want the heat valves open for actual heat.

Doesn't get cold in any of those, including JAX. Gainesville is a dump. Drove thru there once and wondered where the town was. Past the university and realized I was in town.

I would hang on to them if I were you for the tax base if nothing else. Not bad ports for international trade either. Tell the shipping companies they are going to have to go all the way around FL to Tampa isn't going to go over very well.

I don't like traffic, congestion, or crime so they're places I usually avoid at all costs.

I'm with you on all of that so I try to avoid it. As long as they aren't the ones writing the laws for the entire state (like California and SF/LA) then I'm fine with them being in the same tax base. As soon as they get stupid and try to brute force their ideas on everyone, they gotta go!!!
