Ok, I just got the call from the park superintendent. We’re good to go for use of the park for the last two weeks of October!

Here’s what the site offers:

Free camping in 30 pull thru campsites with picnic tables(no electric or hookups)

Bathrooms on site

Pavilion on site

Basketball court

Baseball field (available for overflow parking depending on attendance)

Lake with dock

Who’s in? Let’s do Halloween in Arkansas...

Smith Park

Just outside of Doddrige, Ar.
We *MIGHT* be passing through the Texarkana area in late October heading towards Texas, and if so, would be in the bus for its first trip (probably nowhere near completed though). Please keep me posted.

Chris

Rough time of year for that event out there, IMO.
Wonder why they don't post anything here. I can't access the FB page without joining FB and I won't do that.

Why would there be abandoned dogs after hunting season?
Do hunters forget the dogs?

Well here its not as much "hunting". You let some half starved dogs go and if they chase a deer by you then you shoot it. At the end of hunting season there are always a half dozen or so left out there.
