Skoolie spotting!
Hey family!
I live on the Outer Banks (NC) and spotted a skoolie passing through Kill Devil Hills on my way home last night around 10pm. I couldn't get a picture since it was dark, but they had a roof top deck and I think their colors were dark blue/purple with a pink stripe. They were probably just passing through since the town isn't very friendly for overnight parking. But I'm in the process of converting my shortie and would absolutely love to meet whoever owns this skoolie I saw! Much love & I hope you're able to enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having here

That's exactly why I got so excited! I've seen a few vans but never busses. There's absolutely 0 overnight parking unless you know someone. You can't even stay at the Walmart here.

I see this guy around town. He's usually parked in the Ingles shopping center far corner of the lot. I see him with a guitar and panhandling on the corners. I stopped to talk to him when I took this pic, but he wasn't around.

Rogue1bus just posted in the T444e not starting thread and said they were in the outer banks at a campground.
If it was a flat nose bus it could be them

I sometimes park at the flying J in Southport Indiana and seen many people come thru with skoolies. Seems they are all just passing thru but we got to talk to several.

I drove past this one yesterday and did a double take. The garage door was open. I parked for a minute tried to look obvious hoping somebody would come out. It is a nice looking bus.

We have been on the road for a little over a week now. Fort Worth, El Paso, Las Cruces NM, Phoenix AZ, Quartzite, on to LA, Ventura, Hwy 1 to San Fran. Lake Tahoe, and we are currently headed to Bonneville to drive around on the salt flats, the on to Salt Lake, Yellowstone and on and on.
So far the most skoolies I've seen was parked on the Pacific Coat Hwy just north of LA. I'm Usually driving, otherwise I would have pics to post.
This trip makes our bus a coast to coast traveler.

We have the southern and central states covered with our bus. We have seen a few other skoolies from time to time, but never seem to remember to take a photo. Most are on I10 in northern Florida.

Spotted my first skoolie ever today. He had a mini bus and was driving down HWY 29 through Ruckersville, VA. Still school bus yellow. I tried to peek in the windows while the hubby flew past...
Can’t wait til my bus is done and I’m the one cruisin down the highway.

It seems that about a minute after the bus is gone we remember to take a photo!
