Hehe. You'll have to wait on pics.

I pulled in just about sunset, made some new friends, toured three busses, and had to leave. Today I'm due in Los Angeles so yesterday was just a "howdy do". My "real" stop will be on the flipside trip, likely Tuesday.

What a great bunch of folks!!!

I was goingto try and get out there even without bus.. i had to come to a jobsite in dallas... i wont be done here till late next week so no way i could rent a car drive from dallas and be there to actually see anyone before its over.. and with only a car id have to find a hotel... both busses are in Ohio..

Of course they are! They're Skoolies!
I can't count how many times I've read someone saying stuff like "come on over, we'll make room!" or "let me know when you're passing through!" or bring it over and we'll work on it!"

Being in central US, I'm stuck in the middle from meeting anyone yet.
Pretty much same as my ski boat forum!
So, I'll say... If someone invites you over nearby for a beer or dinner... Ya better jump on it!

Seems to me that Central US would be the ideal place for everyone to meet!

50% of the US population lives within 500 Miles radius of columbus Ohio.. maybe we should hgave a Skoolie meetup there sometime.. at least for those east of the rockies..

of course i dont have property or a spot... just using as an example.. and 500 miles is still a Trek for many people..

Atlanta/N Georgia area would be a good spot for a big meetup, IMHO.

But, quite manageable over a several day or month period... If you don't have obligations tying you down near home.

Colorado has lots of wide open spaces that would be perfect for a large gathering, as well.
Maybe just have a big one in a new location every year or so?
Hawaii would be an amazing location were it not for the logistics!

i think Colorado is a great choice! i be happy to facilitate a mountain get together or even a work party at my small acreage out on the eastern plains.

i am super jealous of the other get togethers in tx and az, and i should have been to both. hope y'all are having a great time @ quartzite!!

where are the pics?

I am so disappointed you did not come to Quartzite. I was hoping to learn from you. Worst news of the trip.

There was no fun being had while I was there. Not that anyone would remember anyway. Too cold and dreary.

Skooliepalooza pics!

At long last!! Here are some pics from the Inaugural Skooliepalooza 2017!

Here's a couple Panoramas I took:

This has been such a great time and we have meet sooo many cool people and seen some really nice setups.

A great time had by all and can't wait for the next meetup.

Here's another one - Photobucket is being wonky, so I'll post more later!

We had a blast in the Offgr1d bus! The people and all the skoolies were amazing. I'm really bummed we had to leave so early- my dad took pictures so as soon as I get them we will post. This was the first (boondocking) trip I have done with the bus so using the solar, cooking and all the normal stuff was one big test for us.. everything worked great! Hot Showers everyday, good food, relaxing with some music in the bus and giving LOTS of tours... Kinda strange as as I'm not near done - but it seems that most could see my direction and style.. so many ideas around these awesome people and buses. Can't wait for the next!
