Traveling in unfinished skoolie from Iowa to Florida. Is there anything I should know

I'll be traveling in my school bus from Iowa to Florida. We're using it at the moment as a moving van until we get home in Florida and then begin the conversion. Any tips on what I should avoid or where to get the most cheapest gas? Any tips for the drive, which I've done before in my Prius but not in a school bus, will be greatly appreciated.

There's an app called Gas Buddy that shows you the best prices as you are traveling. Try to fill up before you get to Florida. It only gets worse the farther south you go in that state.

+1 for GasBuddy. You can save a lot on fuel with it, I've seen 40c per gallon differences between the place right at the exit ramp vs a place 1/4 mile away from it.

Also +1 to filling up before you cross into Florida.

I cannot speak to best routes but as far as fuel goes, get an app called "gasbuddy".

It will search for the cheapest fuel in your area as well as a trip planning function that will find the best fuel stops on the way.

I was in CA a few years ago when fuel prices were higher. I got off the interstate and the '76 station right off the interstate was $4.39 a gallon and Gasbuddy found us diesel 2 blocks away for $3.29
