Far better in my case, ...

I work for a private contract company overseeing an Army program run by civilian govies on an Army base that has no Army personnel. The US Army is a lot of things. Efficient is NOT one of them. The pay is good tho so be sure your taxes are in the mail by Apr 15th.

I withdraw the metaphor. With the number of women I know who've posted #MeToo stories, it is a reach too far. After all, I would take offense if someone said that the buyer "tried to Jew me down on the price."

Yup. Other side of the fence is the cool stuff. If I knew anyone over there, I'd see how close they could get with a 16" shell. Scary but they used to do live fire over the bay as far south as the Bay Bridge. They still break windows from the concussions on the eastern shore from time to time.

Oh, yeah. Aberdeen and Ft. Detrick in Frederick are both Superfund sites. O Maryland, my Maryland!

Lol. Water here is supposed to be good. I think it comes from further upstream from the Susquehanna but don't quote me on that. Edgewood is another base nearby (down bay from here). They have the nasty stuff. Chemical weapons from WWII and WWI. I think APG is mostly ballistics testing. Some nasty stuff is required to make it go boom but the really nasty stuff is Edgewood.

That's what they told us at Detrick also. The bad stuff is somewhere else; not here. We're only supplying drinking water as a courtesy.

The drinking water is being provided for those on the eastern shore... after they dredged up the channel and dumped it in everyone's back yard.

Drinking water for Balt County comes from Lock Raven and Pretty Boy reservoirs. Those are uphill and upstream of here. I dunno about Hartford County.
