If you're up at Tenkiller.... Snake Creek is my favorite place.(57.6 miles from me.)

Don't forget to grab some food at The Dam Restaurant.

Daughter is in school up at Talequah... I'll try to find one of my Award Winning Tenkiller Pics
south of there at gore. marval resort.

Know Marval very well! You're 55 miles northwest of me.

Stayed there in July of 2001, we were caught in a storm, stuck in the travel trailer... Wind came up, and everything was rocking. Wife says look out and see what's happening.
Told her "I see flying dolphins"

Apparently the neighbor kids didn't secure their pool toys.

Beautiful place up there, you're not too far from The Dam Restaurant if you can get transportation, I'd recommend their burgers!

we didn't fare too bad... National Weather Service has yet to confirm we did get hit by one of three tornadoes that were in our area.
Apparently, the Corps of Engineers is pretty concerned about the integrity of some of our area dams. Lot of evacuations in flooding areas, but that's seeming pretty typical for most of the central nation. Went to the storm cellar for the first time in 40 years.... last time I went underground, I actually saw the tornado.
