<<<certainly some will enjoy this ride?>>>
I certainly did.....that is some beautiful scenery.
And I had no idea that a bus would handle so well at those speeds......and on wet pavement no less !

'Someone' talked to the owner of the tour bus company
'Someone' called the number on bus and the place was closed for Sunday, but had a recorded message with an after hours number...

I'd do it again tomorrow, if I had the chance
Errr, I mean 'someone' would
I've worked wrecks down mountain sides.... Nothing good comes from it!

I've done the million dollar highway from Durango to Ouray on my motorcycle. One of the most amazing mountain highways ever, second (in my opinion) only to "Going to the sun road" in glacier national park. Your video is really making me want to head to Durango this week and never come back...

Love that stretch of road. Would make for a fun run with 20 or 30 skoolies.

so..... what is keeping you from doing that? I did it last year and have not ONE single regret!
Oh, and speaking of going to the sun ( you cannot do that in a skollie unless is less than 18 feet)

Amen to that! We have been living and working at Glacier for the past 4 summers, and I still get goose bumps every time I drive the Going to The Sun Road. It is amazing! Just wish I could drive it in the skoolie (21-foot length restriction and 10-foot height restriction)

I met this guy in Pagosa Springs, and we talked about his first 3 buses - 50's Flexibles, he also had this 40 footer bus for sale - his fourth. Surprisingly he is NOT a member here?

very interesting guy too, wish I could have spent more time with him. I guess most schoolie-folk are interesting tho? Need to make more effort showing off the folks I meet in/around buses.

the common theme I have found with most people into Busses, whether homes, campers, party mobiles, etc is that they dont feel the need to "fit a crowd", dont succomb to societal peer pressure, and in general have life stories to tell.. well beyond what happens with or while in their bus...
People who LIVE life rather than EXIST in Life..
we have everything from people wishing to go off-the-grid to people who are city dwellers to people who just wanted something different, to those starting businesses.. all walks of life, demographics, races, sexes, and sexual orientation.. in effect extemely diverse yet with a common thread..
yeah! thats why I like it

I would have to agree, with my short time talking to skoolies, my shock is that this forum only represents a very small group of all skoolies out there?
