Sorry Bansil, no ammo for you! This stuff is impossible to get now, especially now with NY's "Safe Act"

I don't envy you all of that work.
I have found one of these to be worth every penny, they are a bit pricy. I've used mine many, many times and still going strong.

I'm sure the made in USA applies here.

Thanks for the info guys. I always thought step drills were only for sheet metal, but after some googling they can actually go through 1/8" and even 1/4" steel! Lesson learned I 'll remember that for the rest of my project!

Here you can see better, the extensive damage to the crossmembers. It looks like I'll be taking them all out and replacing them with new steel.

That's some scary stuff there.

You're just a big tease putting those ammo cans in the picture.

Re: 1990 E350 Conversion Project

Roger the Ammo Envy --- which reminds me...anyone else curious about what the Hell is going on with the Feds buying up most of the ammo on planet Earth for "non-military" agencies like Social Security? Mainstream media has once again avoided raising any questions so that only leaves us with a few fringe sources for any info at all. I'm not much on conspiracy theories, but this is just weird. Do a little digging and see what you think. Here are a couple of many such articles...

If you want to know why it isn't a good idea to trust the Federal Government...just ask a Native American.

Re: 1990 E350 Conversion Project

"Panem et Circenses"
When you add gun and or ammo control, you got'em (us) by the short hairs.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bread_and_circuses

And remember...the sole purpose of the Second Amendment to the Constitution was not to insure hunters the right to hunt or homeowners the right to stave off intruders. Our Founding Fathers added that clause to insure that the American people would always and forever be able to defend themselves from the Government should it ever become so corrupt and out of balance that it no longer represented We the People.

Pretty wise and insightful guys, those Founding Fathers. Anybody here know of anyone currently in office that is equally as wise ?
