Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion

I dont think its a matter of its a powerstroke or not-i think its the fact you are trying to push something with the frontal area of a small house thru the air. But if you have flatter towing than I do, you might make out better. I plan on chipping mine to (hopefully) get another MPG or two out of it.

Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion

Instead of replacing the floor, bolt seats to the exposed frame, and have your best friends propel the bus a la Fred Flintstone.
Gas mileage issue solved!

Just kidding! Looking good so far.

Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion

I recommend that when you put in the new floor, you make an access hatch for your fuel tank level sender/supply/return hose connections. That way if you have any problems like an in-tank fuel pump going bad or something like that you won't have to drop the tank to deal with it.

Is your front door big enough to get everything in/out? Can you get the seating, appliances, etc in or out thru the front door as that appears to be the opening you will have left? If not, you may want to rethink sealing up the rear door. Why don't you just replace the weatherstripping?
