Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion
bet your bus will pull an enclosed trailer just fine and wont have too much air drag

Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion
Hey Ascend --- Great looking job on the door! Very slick indeed. I still have a ton to do on mine. It is a new home-fabbed steel frame that I'm holding off on skinning until I can get the window made. Has been a royal pain so far...had to accommodate a very slight curve about 2/3's the way up. But if the finished product looks half as good as yours I will be thrilled.

Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion
Awsome project! I race the TSCEC enduro in Texas and spotted your tires early on in the thread. Looks like a great project! I'm sure the wife and dog will enjoy hanging out in there when temps are up or down low. I subscribed to your thread and looking forward to see the project completed. First thing I thought of was that side door would make a nice entry for getting a bike or two in there. I definately applaud your skills and willingness to DIY it and not take on the payment.
I've wanted to try something like this for quite a while now.
P.S. Tell your HOA stuff it!

Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion
looks good. you got a good sized opening to deal with. mine is 32" wide stock width. apparently its a thing of the past and smallest you can get now is 36" i think.

Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion
good job. That is how to do it right.
Most people don't have the equipment. One thing about the bus people, they have to become multitaleneted to do the conversions. It is a great learning experience that creates some really smart people. (except me... )

Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion
Been reading all your messages, really a job well done. I have a 2004 e-450 that I'm converting so I can take my handicap wife on trips. If I get it back from the Trans shop, I'll try and post some pictures of what has been done so far.

Re: 1994 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus Conversion
man its been so long i forgot what the thread was! that late fee thing is BS! biggest money grab ive seen in awhile!
as for the tires they should be listed on the info inside the drivers door. if its the same as mine it would be LT 215/85/R16's load range E. The elongated stud holes in the rims is from not being re-torqued and/or coming loose over time.
