Work on the bus have stopped again.
Temperature is going down, rain and this weekend it is snowing again.

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus

Charley-If I can offer a suggestion-Before my bus I had a cube van -and before that a regular Chevy van. I raced bikes for lots of years. I've put Many many different bikes up + down ramps. (Not as nice+ wide as yours.)
When I watched your video,( besides waiting for you to wack your head ) My 1st thought was "he cheated!" You put the ramp on you porch.
I would test how steep the ramp is on level ground. Your Harley has a long wheelbase + is fairly low. Theres the possiblity that it might bottom out at the top of the ramp. And I'd also think about putting some kind no slip paint or stickers on the ramp. Picture the day you have to load up the bike quick-and the ramp is wet. And you start spinning the tire on the way up the ramp-and start going backwards. Then you try putting your foot out into air off the ramp. Ask me how I know.

Hehehe.
Yes I know what you mean.
The ramp is too short when I leave it on the ground level.
During the time I will extend this becouse the bike hits with the frame tot the top of the ramp.
You are right about that my friend.

I was also thinking about to install a electric lift like a wheelchair elevator but this is not easy to find here in this small country.

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus

I have found also a great website that's really usefull for maintenance the powerstroke diesel engine.
Maybe the most of the people of the forum will know the site.

http://www.powerstrokehelp.com

I have learned a lot with waching the video's of changing all the oils and fluids like the high pressure oil injector pump and stuff like that.
It is easy explaned and to understand for people like me who know a little bit of technical engine work and parts.
I only have to learn and convert the measures of capacity from Gallon to Liters and fom ounces to centiliters if you know what I mean.
I will find a converter on the net or so.

So guy's,
It is almost 20.45H and that means I am of to work now and tomorrow I am going to prepare my Dodge for a little meeting of usa pick up trucks on sunday in Holland.

Bye for now and thanks again for the reactions,
Karel

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus

In one of your pictures it looks like the plastic trim between the body panels on the roof is a bit busted up. Be sure to caulk those trim pieces - mine were intact but were leaking anyway. If water gets inside the walls or ceiling it will eventually delaminate the inner and outer fiberglass panels and present you with yet another repair adventure. I caulked both of my roof trim pieces as well as the top of the trim running along the top of the side walls.

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus

When I am going to the technical inspection, I will need a technical data sheet of the bus.
This paper was not withe the title when I bought the bus.
Does anybody know how we can become one please?
I was told that I must contact a local Ford dealer but these are all European dealers.
So this is another adventure for me to get one.

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus

Hello My friends,
As usual, I am here again with a question.
I am missing a part on the left side of my rear wheel well as you can see on the photo.
Do you know if parts like this are for sale on the web or do I have to make two new parts in polyester.
I also do not know how this part is called in the States. (wheel well extender?)

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus

We call those "mud flaps." If you can find an old conveyer belt you can cut some for cheap. The two on the rear of mine were hanging by a thread so I pulled all four and have no plans to reinstall them.

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus

Just remove the one you have and they will match..........
might want to try contacting Eldorado Shuttle bus company to see if you can get a replacement part........ They made them for several years.
http://ks.enconline.com/
any luck on finding the build sheet or technical data sheet???

If you are talking about the missing part around the wheel cut out, we called them fender flairs. I'm sure they have many names. When you search, use different words to find your product.

Good luck with your search,

Keith
